The MLM2PRO is very easy to set up. Connecting it to your phone on the range is no problem. It also is small enough to put in your golf bag so it is easy to transport. The battery life is great, I have taken it to the range many times and have not had to recharge it. The feedback it gives you is great and helps me dial in my numbers. It is also helpful to see the ball flight of the ball on the app after you hit. For someone looking for an affordable launch monitor Rapsodo is the way to go.

I set up the MLM2PRO in less than 5 minutes. It came partially charged so I was able to use it immediately. I downloaded the app and synced my iPhone with ease. I picked a target line and lined up the MLM2PRO and was ready to begin my practice session. I found that the MLM2PRO encourages me to have a more focused range session. After each shot, it tells me the carry distance, total distance and how far the shot went left or right of my target. As a 10 handicap, the left and right data helps keep me focused on my target with each shot. I have a tendency to just hit balls without consistently focusing on a target but the MLM2PRO helps prevent that behavior. After my range session, the app tells me the ball speed, club speed and launch angle of each shot along with the distance data. It also provides an average distance for each club. Overall, I feel the MLM2PRO is easy to transport, easy to use and will ultimately allow me to get more out of my practice sessions.

I absolutely love the launch monitor, it’s great. I couldn’t see paying thousands of dollars & still not get the features the MLM2PRO has. The accuracy, from watching a ton of well done comparison YouTube videos, is identical. For now, we just throw up a hitting net outside, set up the MLM2PRO & can get all the data & see where my form & swing needs improvement. An actual video too. With tracer. Many of the high dollar units don’t give you video of your swing which I don’t know how you could improve without it. And all the real courses that you can play is no match for these other expensive units. Some of those only give you like 5 or 10 courses. I was able to download a course I was about to play in a few days. It was great & easy to do.

Indoor or outdoor the MLM2PRO is an asset for my game, and would be for any golfer. With winter season coming up I have the option of simulation gameplay all season. The new updates have helped connection flow, ease of use, and overall performance of the product that keeps me coming back to work on my game. You can play casually with Awesome Golf or E6, or you can gamify your practice with Rapsodo Combines. The MLM2PRO does it all!

Let me start by saying that when right, its very right. I have used on both the range and hitting into my net and the results are extremely impressive for something so light and mobile. The camera is very high quality and the replay feature allows you to see exactly what is happening with your swing. It doubles as a swing aid because the alignment bar and is easy to figure out if you are moving the ball left or right. It has completely changed the way i can practice from home. It gives me so much more information about distances and spin than i ever previously had. On the range, its giving me precise distances (very accurate) so i know that the results in the net are correct. I am excited to take the next step and connect with other apps to play actual courses. A few minor downsides, you need to add each club in one by one. Not a big deal if you are taking practice seriously, but if you have family using, you’ll have to switch sessions and add their clubs as well. Very minor. The other is connectivity. It has a very hard time staying connected to the home wifi in my yard. i repeatedly need to reconnect when changing clubs or practice types. Overall i am extremely impressed by something so small and affordable. If the wifi connectivity can be fixed, it is a total game-changer.

The Rapsodo MLM2PRO is a phenomenal piece of kit. Whether you are a highly tuned pro looking for more tailored analytics, or a new golfer trying to diagnose your slice, this monitor will provide the feedback to take your game to the next level. I reviewed this model alongside a leading competitor and a much more expensive model. The Rapsodo did everything as well and somethings significantly better than both of these other models. I found the distance tracking to be accurate in real world conditions within 10 inches. It performed well in both outdoor range and home built simulator scenarios. The included Callaway Chromesoft Precision balls provide multiple additional layers of analysis. The differing dot patterns on the ball allows the MLM2 to track spin direction and rotation speed better than anything else I have tested. This allowed me to make slight swing changes to achieve backspin on iron shots that I have never been able to previously. The included app is very user friendly and allows you to drill down on your game anywhere you have a wifi connection; it includes a year of premium analytics which pays for itself. The club selection is admittedly a little tedious but I was surprised to find an incredible array of makes and models. The packaging is handy and the unit itself feels very sturdy. Overall the MLM2PRO is in my opinion far and away the best value for dollar in golf tech available right now. Good Form Rapsodo.

I am more than impressed by the capabilities of this launch monitor and for the price, this is PERFECT for a home setup as well as for use on the range. For perspective, I have had the opportunity to use FlightScope, Bushnell Launch Pro, GC Quad and Trackman. Yes, the MLM2PRO has some drawbacks when not using the RPT balls: -Cannot track spin rate -Cannot track spin axis The only other drawback is that the MLM2PRO does not have a feature for putting. All of the above drawbacks are minimal compared to how AWESOME this tool is. The accuracy for ball speed, launch angle, carry distance, and total distance on the range is EXTREMELY close to the monitors that are THOUSANDS of dollars more expensive. None of these metrics need the RPT balls and you get the exact metrics that will help you improve on the course. The ability to video capture your swing is also excellent to help you see what is (and is not) working. When using the launch monitor at home and using the RPT balls, I am blown away at the accuracy of shot shape, spin rate (within 150 rpm of far more expensive monitors), spin axis, carry distance, and total distance. The ease of setting this up and pairing with an iPhone is mind blowing. It took me longer to unroll the hitting mat than it did for me to set up the launch monitor for use. I was also able to use an iPad to AirPlay to a projector and see real time results just like I was on the range while using a swing net at home. The MLM2Pro does also have the ability to connect additional apps such as E6 or Awesome Golf to add additional courses for the Simulator function. For the price of this monitor and the results and versatility that you get, I don’t think there is any need to spend the THOUSANDS of dollars for something else.

I recently picked up the new Rapsodo MLM2PRO Mobile Launch Monitor and couldn’t wait to get to it. I’m a former Assistant Golf Professional slowly rediscovering my game after years of minimal play and even less practice. Not only that, I am an Industrial Engineer and Math geek that loves numbers and data and the Rapsodo did not disappoint.
I managed 3 sessions in the first week(!) – one at the range and more importantly, two at home hitting into a net (saving me time and money). The unit was very easy to set up and get moving each time. Each session proved extremely helpful, from the ability to see results of 11 different metrics instantaneously as well as the great video clarity that captured and auto-replayed every shot (a setting you can toggle on/off).
My numbers on the Rapsodo seemed pretty accurate and in line with what I have seen at a couple of ranges that now have Trackman installed which makes me very happy that I can do this in the comfort of my backyard (and garage in the winter) without wondering if I am missing anything.
On the range, I loved the tracer line in the video which, coupled with the metrics, allowed me to make quick changes to my setup and see immediate results in increased distance with my driver. Without this I wouldn’t have known what to do to find optimal launch angle which literally added 20 yards from early session drivers to end of session.
At home, I tested using old practice balls alongside the Callaway RPT Chrome Soft X included with the Rapsodo. The monitor was more accurate at picking up the Callaway RPT so I’ll stick with using them.
So excited after 3 sessions and I don’t think I have scratched the surface yet! There is still so much more for me access with the 1 year Free Premium Membership that came with the purchase – and I plan to get to all of them. For example, there is a Combine mode (developed with Dr Sasho Mackenzie – creator of The Stack System) that will assess my data, evaluate strengths and weaknesses to help customize a practice routine for me. And there are thousands of courses for me to play in simulation mode. Needless to say I wish I had this when I was teaching my clients.
On the other side of the coin, there really is only one thing I am hoping will change in the near future and that is the ability to use speed training equipment with the Rapsodo. Speed training is huge now, the best way to pick up distance and probably not going away – ever. Although there are ways to use some of the speed equipment available and track driver stats with the Rapsodo, having an all inclusive device would be amazing. With Dr. Mackenzie as an Advisor I am keeping my fingers crossed that they can find a way to get there soon!
Absolutely confident that the Rapsodo will help me to make fast and sustainable improvements to my game.
